Football Shirt Friday raises money for Cancer Research UK
Last week Grecian the Lion visited Exeter City’s long time shirt sponsors Flybe to let everybody know about the Bobby Moore Fund’s Football Shirt Friday.Grecian put up posters, chatted to staff and encouraged them to don their football shirts this Friday to raise money for Cancer Research UK’s life-saving research into bowel cancer. He even managed to find some time for a tour of Flybe’s hangar and training academy!
On Friday 28 April, The Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK is asking football fans to put team rivalry aside and unite against cancer by wearing their favourite team’s colours. The Bobby Moore Fund was set up by Stephanie Moore MBE, Bobby’s widow, in his memory to fund pioneering, life-saving bowel cancer research.
