Mike Butler wins final Foundation £1000 draw of the season

22 May 2017

Mike plans to put the money aside to watch more City away games next season.

The final Foundation drawmonthly £1,000 prize of the season went to Mike Butler. Mike received his prize in front of a packed St James Park shortly before kick off in City's memorable match Carlisle United on Sat May 6 – pictured with City youngsters Conor Riley-Lowe, Toby Down and Matt Jay.

On hearing that he had won the prize at the start of the month, Mike said: “This has made it a perfect few days for me after going to see City win at Doncaster. Incidentally I also saw us win 3-0 there in 1977 on our way to promotion, so I hope that's another good omen."

When asked what he was going to spend the money on, he said: “I plan to put the money aside watch more City away games next season. I've now been to nearly 650 home games but still less than 100 away. The City performance and travelling support have been so good this season that I'd like to use my winnings for some more good days out.”

The Exeter City Foundation is a great deal, particularly for those who are regular supporters of the club.

For just £10 per month, members are entitled to a range of prizes and, if a season ticket holder, the additional benefit of cash back or a voucher for the ECFC Shop. The City Foundation draw runs throughout the year, and overall there are sixty-seven prizes – of which sixty-four are cash prizes – all of which means that members have a GREAT chance of winning, all winners are Exeter City supporters and net proceeds go to good causes at the Club.
