Grecians earn passage to County Cup semi-final
Exeter City Ladies progressed through the quarter-final stage of the Devon Women’s Senior Cup with a convincing 6-1 win against Marine Academy Plymouth.Helen Kukor netted a first-half hat-trick for the Grecians, and Lola Garcia Sanchez scored twice – the first of which was a corking volley from Tash Knapman’s corner.
Top-scorer Knapman then continued her rich vein of form in front of goal with one for herself, netting clinically from the edge of the area.
Last season’s cup victors Plymouth travel to Alphington on Sunday 7th December, and then City will travel away to face the winner in the semi-final with the fixture scheduled to take place on Sunday 18th January. The other semi-final will see AFC Plympton hosting the winner of Torquay United v Feniton.
