City to get started with derby against the Glovers
After much anticipation and build-up, the Football League fixtures were finally revealed at 9am today – and Exeter City’s Sky Bet League 2 campaign will kick off with a local derby against recently-relegated Yeovil Town at St James Park.Paul Sturrock will take charge of his first competitive game as Glovers boss on Saturday 8th August (kick-off 3pm), while in the home dressing room, Grecians manager Paul Tisdale begins his tenth campaign with City.
The opening weekend is followed in quick succession by the first round of the Capital One Cup – this year, Exeter will be facing League 1 outfit Swindon Town at the County Ground.
And our first away trip of the campaign comes on the following Saturday (15th August) as we square up against Northampton Town at Sixfields.
