Midfield duo to spend stint with Seagulls
Young Exeter City midfield pairing Alex Byrne and Jason Pope have joined Weston-super-Mare on six-month youth loans.Pope, who begins his second year as a pro with Exeter City, played against Weston in the recent 2-1 friendly win for the Grecians at Woodspring Stadium.
Meanwhile Byrne, who signed his first professional contract this summer, has also been involved with the Exeter first-team squad during pre-season, and played minutes against East Fife and Arbroath.
The pair will still be available for Exeter City in friendly fixtures, up until when the Seagulls kick off their National League South campaign at Concord Rangers on Saturday 8th August.
