Band to launch new EP at home of Exeter City
LOCAL UP-AND-COMING band SWARM play an exciting CD EP Launch party at The Centre Spot (The Park) this Saturday after the Leyton Orient game.After a successful gig in London last weekend, the band return to their home town to promote their new EP “Honeytrap”, which is due to be released on the day of the game.
The Exeter City fan-based band comprises of Luke Bliss-Thompson – Drums, Dan Drew - Rhythm Guitar/Vocals, Robbie Chishem – Bass Guitar and Adam Gallen – Lead Guitar.
The band was formed in January 2015 and are currently making waves in the music business. Dan Drew has said that it will be a dream to play at St James Park after following his local club for many years.
Luke explained that the band write their own material and are looking forward to playing at The Park this Saturday after gaining a significant local following, naming the band’s musical influences as diverse as The Beatles, Oasis and Kasabian. Even so, the band insist that they have their own distinctive sound.
Honeytrap, their new EP, has been recorded locally, and the band is hoping to pick up some new followers at this Saturday’s gig.
The band have been earmarked to play some prestigious festivals in 2016 and are looking forward to playing for a home crowd this Saturday, with the band never having had anywhere in mind to launch their new music EP other than Exeter City, as they feel they want their name and music to be part of what is happening at the new revamped Park venue.
Entry this Saturday will cost £3, but any fans who have valid tickets for the Leyton Orient game and are staying in the Park to watch the England game at 5pm will be given an arm band which will allow them to remain in the venue for the full concert which is due to start at 8pm.
The ExEC-100 Club will be running the event on the evening and will be circulating during half-time of the England game to ask everyone who wishes to stay and see this fantastic concert to show them their tickets and receive their arm bands for free entry.
After 7.30pm, anyone entering The Park will be charged £3, which will be donated to cover the costs of the PA and sound equipment for the night, and will go directly to SWARM, who have been promoting this event.
The band will be supported on the night by great local band The Big Fat Astronauts, who will provide the warm up for the main event.
