A look ahead to the trip to Rodney Parade

NEWPORT COUNTY VS EXETER CITY
SKY BET LEAGUE 2
RODNEY PARADE
SATURDAY 3RD OCTOBER 2015
KICK-OFF: 3:00PM

EXETER CITY make the trip to Wales for their first Sky Bet League 2 action of October.

After seeing off the then-league leaders Portsmouth at Fratton Park in midweek, it's a visit to the division's bottom side this weekend, but manager Paul Tisdale has insisted there will be no complacency coming from his players.

Ryan Harley and Jamie McAllister are in contention for a return to first-team action, but Arron Davies is looking to continue in the middle after a match-winning return to the side on Tuesday.

Newport parted company with manager Terry Butcher on Thursday, with assistant manager Russell Osman and chief scout Steve Marsella also departing Rodney Parade. In better news, this week the club's supporters' trust reached the target needed to complete a takeover after the departure of previous chairman Les Scadding.

City fans can pay on the day at Rodney Parade.

"It would be foolish to go into this game and come unstuck because you've approached it with a complacency. We won't approach it in any other way than with a real focus, but it's not always about that, it's sometimes what the opposition does. We went to Accrington a few weeks ago and lost 4-2, but we played a lot of good football, and it was us that were taking the initiative in the game. It's about having the ability to focus when you have to defend." - Paul Tisdale
