Lee Collins to run the rule on Robins fixture

Lee Collins is the man in the middle for Saturday’s match with Cheltenham Town as City look to claim their first ever points against the Robins at the tenth attempt.

This is Collins’ third visit to St James Park, with City successful in the previous two.  November 2011 saw a 3-2 success over Bury, and Collins also took charge of the win over Wycombe Wanderers by the same scoreline in September 2012, secured thanks to a Danny Coles backheel.

Collins started refereeing in the Football League in the 2011/12 season and showed four red cards in his first four games.  This season he has been more restrained, with 58 yellow cards and three reds in his 26 games so far.  His most recent dismissal will sound all-too familiar to Grecians fans, as he sent off Barry Corr in Southend’s 0-0 draw with Bury.

Match Officials
Referee: Lee Collins (Surrey)
Assistant referees: Keith Lawson (South Humberside) & Christopher Powell (Dorset)
Fourth official: Mark Derrien (Dorset)
