Unfortunately this week Exeter couldn't match the excellent performance that they put in at Bristol Rovers last week. Swansea started brightly and their clever movement off the ball caused City problems all game. Having been on the back foot in the early exchanges Exeter took the lead through a well struck Jordan Edgecombe free kick.

City could have gone two up when Kyle Bassett found himself clean through only for the Swans keeper to spare his defenders blushes. In the second half Swansea continued to dominate the game and a mixture of defensive errors and great finishing saw Swansea deservedly leading 3 - 1. It was at this stage of the game that City had their best spell; Kyle Bassett showed good footwork on the edge of the box to create a chance that he finished neatly and then a wonderful free kick from Dan Keating found Bassett in the box and his volleyed finish put City level. However Swansea got well earned winning goal as the game wound down.
