ECFC vs Swindon
Under 9s v Swindon Town - HOME - Lost 2 - 1
Exeter City's Under 9s outplayed Swindon Town in what turned out to be an exciting game of football. Swindon started the stronger and hit the post in the first minute but Exeter's young guns stood up to the challenge and
soon started to impose themselves on the game. Archie Collins got City's goal when he latched onto a through ball and smashed it into the back of the Swindon net. Chances were created at either end, Swindon got an equaliser and then in the final minute a tired clearance from Exeter allowed Swindon to take full advantage and win the game. Some fine performances by Archie Collins, George Rae, Tom O'Shea, Charlie Sinclair and Josh Davey.

Exeter were in command throughout the match with Will Richards and Teague Lobb setting a fast and aggresive tempo from the outset. The goals were scored by Ollie Jay, Jack Mills, Liam Carey, Tom Scadding and Sam Ballett with Matt Scott defendeding very well for the Grecians.

Under 11s v Swindon Town - AWAY - Won 7 - 4
The first period was close and competitive with defences dominating but in the second period City began to take control. City took the lead after some quick build up play led to a shot into the corner from Jack Rainey. Against the run of play Swindon scored two goals after defensive lapses, but City remained in the ascendance. City dominated the match in the third period with excellent defending all over the pitch the catalyst for goals from Jack Hocking and Scott McMillan. The score was 3 - 3 at the start of the last period but City showed passion and free flowing passing which produced four more goals, two from Ollie Avery-Wright to complete his hat-trick, a second for Jack Hocking and an own goal. This was a satisfying performance and confirmed City's first away win of the season.
Under 12s v Swindon Town - AWAY - Won 3 - 2
In poor conditions Exeter tried to play football but both teams lacked a cutting edge. Exeter went 2 - 0 up through Josh Kite and Matt Jay. After being pulled back to 2 - 2 Exeter rolled up their sleeves and the deserved winner came from Jason Pope.
Man of the Match - Seb Jones
Under 13s v Swindon Town - AWAY - Lost 3 - 1
An impressive first period by Exeter had them take the lead through Callum Head. This was after some excellent passing football involving Ashley Hudd, Tom Pancherz and Thomas Tricker. Tricker worked hard all game and epitomised the team effort but Swindon scored 3 late goals in a game where a draw would have been a fair result.
Man of the Match - Thomas Tricker
Under 14s v Swindon Town - HOME - Lost 3 - 1
City never really got out of second gear and yet it was only a couple of goal Keeping errors that settled the match in Swindon's favour. Jake Viney performed very well in the Exeter goal despite a low cross squirming away from him to gift Town a goal. Auxiliary central defender Jamie Reid was one of the bright spots for City who almost came to life in the final period but not enough of the young Grecians made an impact this week.
Man of the Match - Jamie Reid
Under 15s v Swindon Town - HOME - Won 5 - 2
Swindon settled better in the wet and windy conditions and took an early lead after some woeful defending. A scrappy encounter developed where City struggled to find any fluency in the opening periods. Goals by Seb Broomfield and the lively George Swain put City in front briefly then another gift brought an equaliser for the visitors. A number of changes saw a switch to 4-3-3 and at last City found another gear with Josh Searle and Roger Ingham bossing the midfield and the creativity of Ethan Phillips shining through. Another goal from Seb Broomfield and 2 from Josh Searle saw City finish the game strongly and in command.
