Under 10's - Exeter City 8-2 Yeovil Town

The Under 10's showed that all their hard work in training over the past weeks came together in a good game of football which they dominated from start to finish. This was by far their best football of the season, not because of the score but the manner in which they played. Particularly pleasing was the way in which the players passed the ball around in tight areas with lots of movement off the ball.

Goalkeeper Scott Walker made one terrific save in the third quarter and handled the ball well throughout the game. Both Sam Haynes and Mitch Thomas were strong in defence and Joe Balkwill and Sam Clifton created space in midfield. George Harvey and Nathan Townsend were a constant threat, attacking the Yeovil defence with their skill and pace. Gabriel Campbell and Connor Balment also had good games.

Goals came from Mitch Thomas (1),Harry Kite (3), Nathan Townsend(2) Owen Haslam (1) and Max Reader (1).

Liam Carey pulled one back with a lovely lob after latching onto a Brandon Green's through ball. Green had a very impressive performance along with fellow defenders Tom Scadding and Sam Ballett.

Yeovil then scored a third with a lucky long range strike before Liam Carey scored his second after good work by Lewis Stockley. Despite showing fantastic desire City could not find the equaliser.
