Under 11's Exeter City 5-2 Cheltenham Town

Exeter City ran out comprehensive winners in thrilling game and scored all seven goals! Tom O'Shea gave City the lead when he ran through on goal, rounded the keeper & slotted into the net.

But then the game turned against City with two own goals in short succession.

City fought hard to get back in the game and Rhys Morey saw his excellent drive tipped over the Cheltenham bar. Oli Payne drove into the Cheltenham penalty area winning two tackles before thumping home the equaliser.

This gave the whole City team a lift & they tore into their opponents in the final ten minutes in search of the winning goal, which duly came when Austin Sample drove a powerful shot which was deflected in the air & Thomas O'Shea won a header at the far post to head across the keeper into the far corner.

City played some of their best football of the season in the final quarter & fully deserved their victory.

There were impressive debuts from triailists Rhys Morey, George Murphy & Josh Piper while Oli Payne was man of the match for the way he drove his team forward.

Exeter produced an impressive performance to beat Cheltenham. Hard work and tough tackling gave City a good base to produce some fine passing football and they took the lead when Brandon Green was brought down in the box. Brandon picked himself up to slot home the penalty. Ollie Jay then made it 2-0 with a close range finish before Cheltenham scored late on.

Under 13's Exeter City 0-4 Cheltenham Town

Exeter started the game brightly and looked the much better side in the first period. The highlight was Tyler Dobinson whipping a great ball in for Dean Billingsley to just head wide.

As Exeter pressed Cheltenham began to pass the ball and scored three quick fire goals but this was a good all round performance.

Exeter took revenge for a last minute defeat to their opponents a couple of weeks ago with a hard earned and gutsy performance.

City started slowly and were under pressure but took the lead only minutes from the end of the first period. Josh Kite surged forward from midfield and slid the ball through for Lewis Sanders. The home keeper read the situation but Sanders blocked the intended clearance and composed himself to score from a very acute angle.

Matt Burge was in inspiring form and made several saves when Cheltenham looked certain to score. Cheltenham increased the pressure but City stood firm and got in vital blocks, kept their shape and deservedly kept their lead intact. Burge was without doubt the star man for City but a performance full of grit and determination showed qualities that added to their usual passing game continues to show a bright future.

U16's Exeter City 8-1 Cheltenham Town

Exeter started brightly but it was not until the 40th minute before a goal was scored, Sam Brown's cross was blocked by Sam West, and Jacob Cane scored from the rebound.

Eight minutes later Rowan Cooper headed Lewis Hilton free kick in and Cooper turned provider on 50 minutes after his left wing cross gave Cane a tap-in.

Lewis Hilton then scored a penalty after Sam Brown was fouled and Hilton then set up Liam Pike to head home number six.

Sorrell Fairlove set up Brown to score before Cheltenham pulled a goal back with a minute left. But City had another goal in them, Fairlove setting up Cooper for his hat-trick.
