AWAY v AFC Bournemouth - Lost 2 - 1
In a scrappy encounter City failed to pass the ball as fluently as they can. A goal from Mika Morgan put Exeter ahead but an immediate reply from Bournemouth gave the home side the momentum to go on and win. Connor Gregory performed well in the City goal and Nick Grimes was strong in defence.

City took the game to the home side and after 5 minutes were one up when a Jamie Harkness corner was met by Jake Sillifant who drilled it low and hard into the corner. Rhys Summers and Jamie Harkness controlled the midfield but Bournemouth found their way back into the game with a hopeful lob over the advancing Moore-Taylor in the City goal. Ollie Avery-Wright was very composed in the Exeter defence and with Bournemouth forced to shoot from outside the box Jake Moore-Taylor was equal to everything they threw at him.

This was another good display and was Exeter's best game of the season so far. After going a goal down City bounced back with some good passing football and lots of determination. Goals came from George Russell and Louis Cane (2) with good performances by Cane, Russell and Kyle Howell.

A very good display from an improving City side who limited Bournemouth to a handful of chances and created many of their own at the other end. After going a goal down Exeter responded with a thirty minute purple patch and two very good goals from George Bennett gave us the lead. Stefan Paull added two more to put City 4 - 1 up and although Bournemouth got a late goal back the home side were well worth their victory.

The young Grecians started the game well, and opened the scoring with a fine solo effort from Jacob Cane. Bournemouth equalised just before the end of the first quarter. In the next two quarters Exeter played some great football and dominated for long periods without turning their possession into goals. This was to prove costly as Bournemouth always dangerous on the break punished a tiring City side with three goals in the last ten minutes.

A confident display for the first two periods with Exeter playing some good football saw us 2 - 0 up with a stunning volley from 20 yards by Jamie Short the highlight. A lack of defensive discipline allowed Bournemouth back into the game at 2 - 2, however City went up a gear to find a winner.

Exeter started strong and used their high tempo game to cause problems for their opponents. Precise finishing from Jordan Edgecombe on two occasions saw City deservedly lead 2-0 before Daniel Western added two goals of his own, the first laid on by Louis Horton's cross from the left. Nathan Keast in the City goal ensured they left with a clean sheet and this was an excellent win and a good performance.

An unusually lack lustre display from Exeter resulted is an extremely disappointing result. For the small periods that City applied any pressure they reaped the rewards and at 4 - 3 down looked the stronger side, however they weren't able to sustain that level of performance. Craig Veal and second half substitutes Aaron Bicknell and Harry Nodwell set the example for the rest of the squad to follow and we look forward to seeing how the lads respond to their first blip of the season.
