Membership: It is with great excitement to announce that we have now over 50 members which considering we have only been around for just over 2 years is a fantastic achievement and we would like to thank everyone who has joined us in our quest in helping Exeter City F.C. become accessible to all. Membership still only cost £5 and is open to everyone, 'you don't have to have a disability to join us'. Contact us if you would like to join.
Committee: The committee for 2009/10 is as follows: Nick Saunders (chairman); Colin Atkins (vice-chair); Jeanne Jones (secretary); Margaret Atkins (treasurer); David Jones and Steve Gazzard.
Press Officer: We are looking for someone who would be willing to become our Press Officer (voluntarily), if you feel that you can help in promoting our association further please get in touch.
Personal Assistant List: "Could you help a disabled supporter on a match day?"
We are looking for anyone who would be willing to help a disabled supporter on a match day for when their regular PA is unavailable, you'll have to stay with the disabled supporter throughout the match but as a 'thank you' you'll get free entry to the match.
Sponsorship: Last season we sponsored one of the Exeter City Ability Counts F.C teams and the great news is that we've been able to do the same again this coming season which for them starts in September and we wish them all the best of luck for the coming season.
All 3 teams had a great season last year which ended with the Premiership & Championship sides making the regional finals with the Championship team coming out winners and that team went onto the National Finals which were held in London and sadly the team lost on penalties in the semi-finals.
This season they are adding 2 more teams and are looking for more sponsors, if you can help them with sponsorship or would like more details about the Ability Counts teams please contact Paul Clements on 07792910802.
