Best wishes from the club and a few tips too
Less than two days to go now before City take to the Wembley stage once again in the big Blue Square Premier Play Off Final against Cambridge United. We're sure you're getting excited and are checking all the lucky shirts and flags are ready to go, so we wanted to take the opportunity to thank all the fans, sponsors, volunteers and staff at the club for all your enthusiasm, support and patience during the frantically short time that is the post-season play offs. The club hopes that everyone has a fantastic day out and sees the season end in style. Please get right behind Tis and the team by creating as much noise as you can.
The club shop will be open tomorrow (Saturday) from 10.30am til 4pm so there's still the chance to get hold of Wembley goods for the match. The official club produced Wembley souvenir brochure is available from the shop plus WH Smith outlets in Exeter and surrounding towns (see separate earlier news item).
There are a few tips that Wembley have asked us to pass on:
- No bags or rucksacks are allowed into Wembley except for handbags, which will be searched
- There should be no flags over two metres by two metres in size or with a pole longer then one metre
- No musical instruments are allowed unless expressly allowed by Wembley
- Should a serious incident occur in London over the weekend, please allow extra time to enter the Stadium as full searches will be made
With regard to merchandise you see being offered on the trip to Wembley or outside the ground, please be aware that this will not be official merchandise unless explicitly stated. There is no guarantee on quality and, for example, flags may not be the right size or have too long a pole, meaning your money will be wasted. Equally, none of the proceeds feed back to the club so we'd urge a visit to the club shop on Saturday (10.30am-4pm) before you go.
If you're looking for a pre match meeting place, then the Norfolk Arms in Llanover Road, North Wembley have contacted us saying City fans would be welcome and they are not too far from the ground. Check out directions before you leave.
Once again, we wich you all a safe and happy trip. Support the team to the max and let's see what happens!
