Exeter City have to announce the departure of Football Secretary Sally Cooke, she has been head hunted by the Devon County Show. She has a background in agriculture and is a highly efficient administrator, and everybody at Exeter City Football Club wishes her well in the future. She started work many years ago with the Red Army then began to work for Eamon Dolan with secretarial duties for Football in the Community. She became a major part in the administration of the Centre of Excellence, before finally becoming Football Secretary prior to the takeover by the Supporters Trust.Sally's experience and knowledge alongside a quite outstanding work ethic means that she will be a serious loss to the Football Club and the club will be thanking Sally in an appropriate manner in due course.

However, life at the club goes on and to that end Mike Radford will be taking over as Club Secretary from Sally. As no doubt everybody knows Mike has immense experience in football but what some might not know he that he is an excellent professional administrator. Now we are in the Football League administration work has to be detailed and precise otherwise the League imposes fines when the proper procedures are not followed or carried out in the correct manner. Mike will be relinquishing his Youth duties to Simon Hayward as Head of Youth. Simon will be assisted by popular ex-City midfielder Kwame Ampadu who is now employed by the club and is an up-an-coming coach.

Should Mike find that he has spare time away from his secretarial duties he will continue to assist with scouting as he has done in the past. All departments within the club will continue to utilise Mike and will no doubt look for help and advice from him.

Further to this the club will now actively be seeking to recruit a full-time member of staff to become kit manager. Duties will include preparing, cleaning and storing training and playing kit. This involves both home and away games. As usual the club will look to promote from within but should any individual feel that they could offer their services or require more information please contact mike.radford@exetercityfc.co.uk
