Free tickets courtesy of Home Farm Hotel
Steve Lundy from Home Farm Hotel recently unveiled a unique scheme to get youngsters along to watch City play at the Park by providing tickets as part of his sponsorship of the club and you can see the full original story at http://www.exetercityfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10436~1388991,00.html
He has invested over £1500 in buying 11 children's season tickets and 2 adult season tickets, which are available to clubs, schools or youth organisations to use on a match day. All they have to do is contact Steve on 01404 831278 or homefarmhotel@btinternet.com and explain to him why they want the tickets. The offer is available match to match and is based on a first come, first served basis and also on which application is more deserving.
Steve has been bowled over by the response and has allocated tickets to many games this season already. However, there are a couple of gaps that he's particularly keen to fill. They are the upcoming Tuesday night fixtures at St James Park - on Tuesday 28 October against Chesterfield and on Tuesday 25 November against Rotherham.
Understandably, evening matches may not be entirely suitable for the younger children and Steve wonders if there are older youth teams, for example, who would like to take advantage of some free tickets. It would be a shame to let these go to waste. Of course, it doesn't matter if a younger team would like to apply. Everyone is welcome, so please don't think you can't! Just get in touch with Steve as shown above and, don't forget, other matches are available so there's still time to apply for these too.
There are no geographical restrictions on applications but the tickets do have to be picked up from Home Farm unless in exceptional circumstances. Steve does stress that the adults must accompany the group and be responsible for the children involved. Home Farm will feature the groups in the programme advertisement it runs in the Grecian match day magazine and there will be lots of opportunities for autographs on match days as well as access to the Junior Red Army's Family Room.
Please don't miss out on free tickets!
