"I think I really sustained the injury on Tuesday night against Bournemouth. In the game you get stood on and come together with opposition players quite a lot and I cracked the bone a bit during that match. I didn't think too much of it and it was sore for the next couple of days but it wasn't too bad but I had to have a lot of painkillers on Saturday.
"To be honest it got gradually worse through the game and there was a point during the second half where I think I probably cracked it properly. I just planted my foot when going for the ball and felt a real shooting pain go through the bone and that was probably the moment when it broke.
"I went for an x-ray on Sunday night and was told it was the fourth metatarsal which is quite low down so it isn't a major break. Most bones take about six weeks to heal but because it is a small one I am hoping it will have healed when I have to go back for another x-ray in four weeks time. All being well with that scan I will start running and properly training then.
"Obviously I will be doing bike work, swimming and a lot of rowing until then to keep up my fitness. I think in those few weeks I won't lose too much of my fitness. Hopefully I'll be back for the back end of this season and obviously in time for the Play Off's if we reach them."
