Exeter City have announced the latest contract news as the squad begins to take shape for next season.

Steve Basham, Jack Obersteller, Nick Jordan, Ronnie Bull and Fred Murray have all left the club after their contracts expired.

Everyone at the Football Club would like to thank these players for their sterling service to the football club during their time with us and we wish them all the best in the future.

Whether on of off the pitch these players played vital roles in our promotion to League One.

As you may have read in this morning's Express & Echo Marcus Stewart has agreed a one-year deal at Exeter City.

Stewart will extend his 18-year professional football career that has spanned over 500 games and 249 goals for another year.

The details are yet to be ironed out but the club can confirm that Stewart will be pulling on a red and white shirt in the 2009/10 season.
