Exeter Boss Voted The Best In Britain
Exeter City's promotion winning manager Paul Tisdale has been announced as Orange's 2008/09 Manager of the Year in a public online vote at www.orange.co.uk/football.
Thanks to the superb support of our loyal fans, Paul Tisdale was victorious with 17.7% of the votes count, just sneaking the title ahead of Burnley boss Owen Coyle (16.7%) and England boss Fabio Capello (16.6%).
The website results page (click here to read it) said how: "At last, dominance at the top is broken, by none other than Exeter City manager Paul Tisdale who has led the Grecians to back-to-back promotions from the Blue Square Premier to the dizzy heights of League One.

"Owen Coyle, who guided Burnley to the Premier League through the play-offs, missed out by a fraction at 16.7% during a dramatic race that saw England coach Fabio Capello produce a late charge to take third with 16.6% ahead of Doncaster's Sean O'Driscoll. Sir Alex Ferguson was for once lagging well behind.
This accolade is the second trophy our promotion winning boss has picked up this week after he was voted LMA League 2 Manager of the Year by his fellow managers.
