The fifth annual Exeter City FC 'Kick Racism Out of Football' tournament will take place this Sunday (14th) at Exeter University.
The popular event will once again be run in partnership with the University of Exeter and this year has been timed to mark the start of National Refugee Week.
Teams drawn from many parts of the world have entered the competition which particularly encourages teams from local black and minority ethnic communities.
The five-a-side tournament, which is backed by the new League One Club and its Supporters' Trust, has been organised by the Exeter City FC Kick it Out Group working with the Grecians' Football in the Community team and the Refugee Support Group, Devon.
Other backing for the event has come from Titan Computers and Exeter City Supporters' Club. "
We are delighted to be once again holding this event with a difference. Exeter City is above all a community club so it is vital we continue to work hard to reach all parts of our community," said Fran Jenkin from Exeter City's Kick It Out Group and the Supporters' Trust Board of Society.
"Football is a great way to break down barriers and this tournament will really celebrate diversity in the area and help build links between the club and all those taking part".
Previous winners of the competition came from Poland (2005), Slovakia (2006) and Exeter College (2007).
Last year's winners Exeter International included players from Afghanistan, Nigeria and Palestine.
The tournament will be held on all weather pitches at the University's Streatham Sports Centre on the main campus and kicks off at 10.30am when University Deputy Vice -Chancellor Mark Overton officially launches the day.
The presentation of trophies and medals is expected to take place at around 4pm.

One of Exeter City's valued sponsors have bucked the trend and reported soaring beer sales, reports 'What's Brewing' the newspaper of the Campaign For Real Ale.
St Austell Brewery has broken its beer sales records by reporting a 25 per cent rise in the sales of ales, just days after the British Beer and Pub Association reported that beer sales had slumped by more than 8 per cent nationally.
Almost four million pints were brewed and sold by St Austell Brewery up to the end of April 2009 and the brewery's flagship ale, Tribute Ale, on sale at St James' Park, is leading the charge, with sales up 33 per cent in comparison to twelve months ago.
Richard Logan's appearance at the Ide Fete on Saturday was a huge hit, despite the downpours.
