Ryan Harley Signs New Deal

Posted on: Wed 22 Jul 2009

Exeter City are pleased to announce that playmaker Ryan Harley has signed an extension to his contract at St James Park.

The midfielder has made 42 appearances for City, scoring five goals and has impressed many fans with his superb range of passing and eye for goal.

Harley began his career at Bristol City and spent a spell on loan at Forest Green Rovers before joining Weston-Super-Mare. He joined the Grecians in November 2007 and made his debut in January 2008 against Rushden and Diamonds.

He would play a vital role in the end of season run-in including a vital goal in the 4-1 Play Off victory at Torquay.

The 24-year-old began last season in stunning form with a string of man of the match performances including the winning goal at Bournemouth in August.

Just like in 07/08, City's number 7 ended the season in style including a memorable finish in the penultimate match of the League Two season against Morecambe at St James Park.

And Harley has now committed his future to the club just a week after a superb display against Harry Redknapp's Spurs side.

The club also announced a new signing tonight and more announcements are expected shortly.
