Adam Stansfield's emphatic return to first team action was rewarded today with a place up front in the League One Team Of The Week.

Stansfield scored two poachers goals for the Grecians in the 2-1 win over Tranmere, his first start since Easter and manager Paul Tisdale had nothing but praise for City's number 9 following his impressive performance.

"I am really pleased for Adam because he is so important to us," he said.

"I know people have spoken about his away performances, but he is so vital to our home performances as well because he marks our tempo and we play to his energy.

"It was his first start since before Easter and he was brilliant. He did so much work for someone that has been out for so long and to get two goals is great."
