Tisdale: 'Frustrated And Disappointed'
Paul Tisdale spoke to the press following the 4-3 defeat at the MK Dons
"I am very disappointed. I feel for the players because they made it a real game and gave it a real go. It is very hard at this point to come up with anything tangible to say.
It was a great game of football we have just come off feeling rotten about ourselves and are now out of the FA Cup but on to the next game.
We played against a very good, terrific team and the best football team we have played against this season. They are a very good side. You have to give them credit for the way they responded to us.
I feel very frustrated and disappointed. It is cruel I suppose but it is very difficult to say why it happened when it happened so quickly.
We tried our very best and we didn't show any complacency they just took the game up a level and scored three goals.
I can't fault the players, I got the response at half time and they really gave it a go. They probably know more about what happened in the second half than I do, they tried hard and I would have liked to have think we could have held onto the lead.
We have a big game on Tuesday and I am not going to belittle them and make them feel bad about themselves, we have to just be ready for Tuesday. They feel as hurt as everybody.
They started the better first half and took a grip of the game and it was our call then and the ball was in our court then and we did very well and responded really well.
Whether we scored the three goals or not I was pleased with the way we responded at half-time.
At 3-1 up I hadn't thought it was over in the slightest. When you watch football you know that one goal becomes two becomes three. It is all about the state of mind and you know that when one goal goes in our players' thinking will be weaker and theirs will be stronger, that's sport.
You are never safe with two goal leads especially when a team is at home and of course they are going to have a flurry and have a real go. I was delighted we were 3-1 up but I wasn't counting my chickens with 25 minutes to go.
But we are scoring goals and we are certainly scoring goals away from home. We faced a very good team and we are purposely making the game more open because it suits us and gives us more of a chance but this is going to happen that is the type of team we have got.
We have a creative footballing team who are learning and there are going to be games when we score, they score, we score. That is the nature of it we do not have a streetwise, rigid, structured team that are going to get a goal up and run down the clock.
That is not us, we have flair players who are good to watch and progresses the team very quickly and I see no reason to change it."
