Exeter City and the Supporters' Trust are delighted to announce that the ExEC100 club has agreed to back the Trust's Pitch In for City campaign by pledging £1000 to the scheme.
Ever since the nerve-racking mid-noughties, membership of the ExEC 100 Club has continued to grow year on year, now well exceeding the 100 that the club pledged to recruit by 2007, as has money generated by the Membership.
All monies raised at the ExEC 100 club bar goes directly to the Football Club and money raised trough memberships, match-day activities, and other fund raising events also going back in the form of player sponsorships, support for Football in the Community Trust and the youth at the Centre of Excellence as well as providing donations to specific projects and good causes, as in the 'Pitch-in Appeal'.
The ExEC 100 Club (pictured presenting their contribution to the Pitch In campaign prior to City's match against Oldham Athletic), has contributed over £20,000 to Exeter City since it's inception, including carrying out the refurbishment of the managers Match-Day Office and the Dressing Rooms at St James Park carried out during the last close season.
Trust Chairman Denise Watts expressed her delight at the support received by the ExEC 100 Club and commented; "We are absolutely delighted with the support that this campaign has received so far, and we are especially grateful to the ExEC 100 club for their generosity and support of the campaign".
This latest support for the Pitch In for City campaign brings the number of supporters groups backing the campaign up to three, with the Disabled Supporters' Association and the newly formed Pitch In Fork Out already pledging their support.
Speaking of the Support already received Tony Badcock (Pitch In co-ordinator) said: "We have been deeply moved by the support that we have already received and we have had indication from other supporters' groups that they are really starting to buy in what Pitch In for City is all about.
"The Pitch In for City campaign is now entering into an important phase of its development. We are especially pleased to announce details of how fans can support the campaign through the Great West Run - where fans can get the opportunity to not only support the campaign, but also run along side City legends Scott Hiley & Barry McConnell."
As the Pitch In for City campaign gets into full swing more announcements will be made via the club and Trust websites. We are also especially pleased to have the support of the Express & Echo, who will be providing regular updates on various projects including the launch of an upcoming skittles night in aid of Pitch In.
