Corr What A Donation

Exeter City striker Barry Corr personally donated £400 to the Pitch In For City campaign on Wednesday night, leaving co-ordinator Tony Badcock stunned at the 'generous donation'.

Barry, who joined the club from Swindon last summer, presented the cheque to Julian Tagg on the pitch during the half-time interval on Wednesday and Tony hopes this personal donation will act as a catalyst for other supporters.

"On behalf of the Exeter City Supporters Trust which is co-ordinating 'Pitch in for City' I would like to sincerely thank Barry for his generous donation," he said.

"And I hope that it will act as a catalyst for others who have considered donating but have yet to do so."

"Anyone who attended Barry's visit to the East Devon Grecians recently will have been left in no doubt asto his commitment to Exeter City and his desire to do well for the team.

"Here's looking forward to many more goals from Barry over the coming weeks."

The Football Club do not employ a fine's system so this wasn't Barry donating any red card fines to the campaign, but money out of his own pocket.

And the striker will be hoping to provide the club with another boost on the pitch front this weekend as he returns from suspension ahead of the trip to Wycombe.

Barry Corr was the last City player to visit the East Devon Grecians and this week they will be joined by Steve Tully when they meet again on Monday.

Their quiz night takes place this coming Monday March 22nd at Sidmouth War Memorial Club, Church Street, Sidmouth at 7.30pm.

Teams will be roughly four people, costing £2.50 each and the prize will be Sponsorship of a First Team Training Kit (for any player not already sponsored) donated by Andy Gillard.

All proceeds including the raffle will go towards Pitch In For City and Steve Tully will be there for a Question and Answer session.

The evening is open to both EDG members and non members and to enter a team email Roger Constable at r.constable858@btinternet.com
