Tully on 'the suckerpunch':

"After the game the manager just told us to be positive. We know we are in a dogfight and I think the game looked to have nil-nil written all over it.

We were pushing for the win, which as the home team you should do, but we were caught by the suckerpunch and that is the second time it has happened this season. It happened against Brighton as well and we have to learn from it.

Tully's disappointment that the Grecians didn't at least get a draw:

"I think what everyone has been saying in the dressing room is: 'look we didn't have the rub of the green today and we didn't do enough to win the game but we should have even come away with a 0-0 draw and taken a point.'

That is the most disappointing thing, that we didn't take anything from the game.

Tully on City's footballing style:

"We are always trying to play football the right way but especially in the second half personally I was trying to play every time and sometimes you have just got to flick it up and get it in the air and make people challenge and get bodies around it. Perhaps we didn't do enough of that.

Tully on the new loanee:

"Marcus Haber has trained twice with us since signing and he looks very good. It was a difficult game for him to come into with the pitch the way it is and it is going to take him a little time to settle in but he looks a threat.

He looks like he has plenty of energy and he had a good chance with a header, if that goes in he is the saviour. But he looks promising.

Tully looking forward to Tuesday:

"We are disappointed but we can't be too down as we have got a huge game on Tuesday and we have to get our heads up and look forward to that match. It is definitely a good thing that the next game is so soon. As soon as you lose you want another match as soon as possible and it is a local derby as well.

Things happened up there that didn't go our way and we want to make sure we get the right result this time around. It is a big game and we are looking forward to it.

Tully predicting a different type of game:

"They will have a go at us and I think Stockport came with the mindset of getting everyone behind the ball and droping deep.

That caused us a lot of problems to be fair and we didn't know how to break them down. We didn't have that creativity to break them down and that is something we will work on and hopefully get right for Tuesday."
