Speed-merchant Jake Thomson signed a contract with the club this afternoon and just minutes later he spoke to the Official Website about the transfer, Paul Tisdale and much more.

Jake On The Transfer:

"My agent called me over the summer and asked if I wanted to come down here and meet the manager.

"And after speaking to him for an hour or so I knew I wanted to come and join the club and I'm very happy to be here.

"I was at Torquay for a good while and played in 15/16 games and I enjoyed it. I like the area so I was very happy to come down.

"I can't see anything that would suggest I've made the wrong choice in joining."

Jake On Paul Tisdale:

"I was impressed by the way he runs the club, how he is and how much of a fanbase there is here.

"It just impressed me straight away and I told my agent to sort it out and get me here as quick as he could.

"What the manager was saying fitted into what I was looking for.

"He has got a reputation of brining youngsters through, getting them back playing again which is the kind of manager that would be perfect for me."

Jake On His Playing Style:

"I'm direct, I'm quite quick, I can cross a ball and I can create quite a lot of opportunities for other people."

Jake On Pre-Season:

"I can't wait to start playing.

"It has been about six months since I played my last game so I just want to get on the field with the ball at my feet again. It can't come quick enough for me."

Jake On Meeting His Colleagues:

"I met a couple of the players milling around the training ground today, getting their early fitness in I suppose. But the large majority I'll meet on Monday.

"I think it will be quite nerve-wracking meeting new people for the first time but I've been told by everyone that they are a nice bunch of lads and easy to get on with so I'm looking forward to that."
