City Director of Football Steve Perryman explains how Guillem Bauza ended up in Devon and what the Spaniard will bring to Tisdale's team
"You are looking at players all year and we'd played against this lad for Hereford, he's also played against our reserves for Swansea reserves and that's alerted us to him. Then we've followed him up with scouting missions amongst the staff and we've decided that he's a good player for us
He's someone who can lead the line very well and sets up chances as well as scoring. Signed so far we have Richard Logan and John O'Flynn who play a particular way whereas Bauza comes a little bit deeper to feet, he can join the play up very well so that we get a midfield link to the front.
He's a very clever player who thinks the game. Tis likes his brightness - you have to be bright to play in Tis' team. We're really looking forward to working with him, adding to what we've got. We want him to improve us all to go a step further next season.

Tis has said before that players are phoning us wishing to come here and that's not typical at this time of year. We are getting the players on our radar phoning us!
We've been making all sorts of phone calls about Gillem to previous managers and coaches and you just try to eliminate all the possible problems that can be there. Tis is a great listener but also a good questioner, he is particularly good at reading people and likes a certain type of character. It is very good to see how he works out what type of player he thinks we are signing.
Paul is very meticulous in the way that he plans whatever he's doing - be it a coaching session, the tactics for the next game or the next signing and that takes a lot of chance out of the equation."
