David Noble began his career at Arsenal but really made his name was at Bristol City.
Noble made 95 appearances for the Ashton Gate side, scoring seven times including a last-gasp thunderbolt against Crystal Palace which earned City a place in the 2008 Championship Play Off Final.
He spent a spell on loan at Yeovil at the end of last season before linking up with the Grecians.
A serious knee injury meant he hadn't played competitive football until July 2010 when he returned to pre-season training with the Grecians.
A classy midfielder with an eye for goal, David was handed the number eight shirt ahead of the 2010/11 season.
