George was handed a two year deal in March 2006, having previously played for the youth teams at the club, as well continuing to study for his 'A' levels. Had a loan spell with Tiverton Town at the start of the 2005-06 season and with Team Bath in December 2006.. Made his senior debut for the Grecians in the Victor Gladwish Cup at Aldershot Town in 2004-05 and his Conference debut at Forest Green Rovers in April 2006. Can also play at centre-half or in midfield. Became the Grecians' youngest ever captain at the start of the 2007-08 season when standing in for the absent Matthew Gill.
