Matt arrived at Exeter City from Paul Tisdale's former club, Team Bath, in July 2007.
He had just the one season with the students, having moved to them in the summer of 2006 after three seasons with Burscough, one with Matlock, one with Guiseley and half a season with Hucknall Town, but not as an outfield player, but a goalkeeper.
Played in goal in Burscough's 2003 FA Trophy final win over Tamworth at Villa Park.
Matt, was formerly a member of the England Universities side that won the 2006 British University Games football title. Signed an extension to his contract in December 2007, to take him through until 2010.
Matt won Exeter City's Player of the Season in 2007-08.
