Jon is now in his second spell with the Grecians, having signed a six-month deal in July 2006. Has since signed another one-year contract in June 2007. Originally a product of the Exeter City youth scheme, he signed his first full contract in July 1994. Jon quickly established a regular place in the first team and went on to make almost 300 first team appearances before surprisingly being given a free transfer to link up with Oxford United August 2000. Jon then signed for Forest Green Rovers, but his stay was was disrupted through injury and he was released at the end of his contract.
