The Exeter City Football Club weekend work party took place at the Cat and Fiddle training ground this weekend. Around 40 volunteers spent the weekend helping to get the place ready for Paul Tisdale and the players return and also managed to play some football, enjoy a barbecue and spend the night under canvass!
The work included pulling up astroturf carpet which was extremely hard work and caused a lot of blistered fingers, painting Paul's office area, painting externally, preserving new fences and a general tidy and clean up.
The weekend also saw plumbing work and carpet fitting going on as well.
Thanks from everyone goes to Norman Clinnick from Southampton who was the in house chef and barbecue guru for the weekend, the food was fantastic.
The work party football team took on Ide Rovers on Sunday morning in their annual match, unfortunately they were not able to match the feats of City's first team eventually losing 9-5.
