Work Parties During The Summer

Posted on: Thu 05 Mar 2009

During the close season the Club will again be looking for working parties, to undertake various tasks in and around St James' Park.

Pete Bishop and Brian Moore will be heading a team who will be contacting as many supporters as possible to book them in for certain tasks. City FC Director Barry Sansom will be supplying them with a comprehensive list of jobs to be done. Please give them as much support as you can.

"On 1st June a water pressure washer bowser will be at the Park again, the same one that was used last year courtesy of Brendon Power Washers," said Barry. "This will be available for two weeks, so help playing with the monstrosity will be helpful.

"Also we need someone to collect it from Taunton with a view to taking it back afterwards. Any takers, as I would like to get this sorted as soon as possible to help these Pete and Brian organise things.

"There will be extensive work being done at the training ground ripping out the shower room, toilets etc and rebuilding. Some other major work will hopefully be the transfer at St James' Park of some, if not all the services from Old Grandstand to the Ivor Doble stand."

Barry added: "There will be lots to do and we want to do it with fan power, so if you don't hear something in the coming weeks, don't be shy, give me a call at the club, so I can at least pass your contact details on to Pete and Brian and they in turn will allocate the work."
