Between Christmas and New Year a 2-day work party was organised, and various things achieved such as repainting the corridor along the back of the executive boxes (a job much in need of doing, and now it's done it all looks a lot smarter, which has to be good in order to impress sponsors etc), algae removed from roofs of dugouts/disabled areas in Doble Stand (an unpleasant job, which naturally enough was given to Eddie!), snooker cue rack re-attached to wall in bar, various bits and pieces cleaned, and two very full car loads of old programmes transported from Phil Wakely's mum's garage to the old club shop (the portakabin affair along 'Jungle Path' to Big Bank turnstiles). We also sorted out a large quantity of 'stuff' underneath the Doble Stand.

It really is a funny world under there! Rather dark, and of course very unfinished. We didn't find anything very interesting, but we made start on making room for possible new club merchandise shop.

The club would like to thank the following for giving up some of their valuable holiday time:

Adrian Sproston, Eddie Raymond, Ian Collins, Ann Moxey, Steve Moxey, Dacre Holloway, Andy Holloway, Kathryn Holloway, Anders Larsson, Jenny Smith, Barry Smith, Darren Smith, Phil Burden, Martin Lawrence, Elaine Davis, Catherine Jowitt and Anthony Moxey.

Also thanks to Phil and Lisa Priestley for kindly bringing in some food for the workers.

If any City supporters have some free time during the day on Thursday 26th and Friday 27th of January, then there will be a work party carrying out some tree/vegetation clearance in the St James' Park away end. As ever for Exeter City FC work parties lunch plus tea/coffee and doughnuts/cakes will be supllied to all those who turn up. Work parties are a great way to get involved with your football club, and a great way to get to know fellow City supporters.

If you would like to help out please contact the club on 01392 411243 or enquiries@exetercityfc.co.uk.
