ATTACKER JAKE TAYLOR brought a seventeen-year spell with Reading to an end when he made a permanent switch to the Grecians in January 25th 2016.

The twice-capped Welsh international returned to the Grecians after a previous loan spell that lasted for the majority of the 2011-12 season, but spent the first half of the 2015-16 on loan at Scottish Premiership club Motherwell.

With Reading since he was an 8-year-old, Taylor made thirty-one appearances for the Royals, but came close to beating that figure in his single season on loan with the Grecians. He has also previously had loans at Aldershot, Cheltenham Town, Crawley Town and Leyton Orient.

Jake would score his first goal since returning to the club in a 4-1 win at Notts County, with his second coming at Crawley Town. Number three would also come away from St James Park, this time at Yeovil Town's Huish Park. His final goal of the campaign was a fine finish in the away defeat at Bristol Rovers.
