Joel Grant joined Exeter City on August 21, 2015, having left Yeovil Town that summer following their relegation from League One.

Born in Acton, England, Joel started his career off in the Watford youth set up and made 10 appearances for the Hornets in the 2005/06 season as they were promoted to the Premier League.

However, he found first team opportunities hard to come by in England’s top division and went out on loan to Aldershot before making a permanent switch to Recreation Ground.

He scored six goals across a season and a half with the Shots as they won the Conference Premier and Conference League Cup in 2007/08.

Joel then joined Crewe Alexandra that summer. He would score 16 goals in more than a 100 appearances for the Alex before joining Wycombe Wanderers on a free transfer in summer 2011 and Yeovil Town in June 2013.

Joel is a full Jamaican international. He scored his first goal for Jamaica in a 2–2 draw with Egypt on June 4, 2014 and also netted a header against South American champions Chile in the summer which earned him a call up to the Reggae Boyz' Copa America 2016 squad.
