SON OF former Bristol Rovers man Andy Tillson, Jordan moved from the Memorial Stadium to St James Park in the summer of 2012.  He had previously also represented the Nike Academy.

Ahead of 2013/14, he was yet to make a first-team appearance in competitive action for the Grecians, but had played on loan for Chippenham towards the back end of the previous season alongside fellow defender Jacob Wannell.

After waiting patiently for his chance, Tillson was given the nod for the first time in Exeter’s final game of 2013/14, helping the defence keep a clean-sheet in a 2-0 win away at Hartlepool.  Following the departure of Danny Coles and an injury to Jordan Moore-Taylor, Tillson began the 2014/15  season as a regular.

He did the same in 2015/16, forming a solid partnership at the back alongside new signing Troy Brown in the absence of the injured Jordan Moore-Taylor. Tillson scored his first professional goal in the 2-0 FA Cup Second Round win over Port Vale, a success which earned a visit from Premier League Liverpool in round three. His first league goal would come in a 1-1 home draw with Newport County AFC.
