POWERFUL CENTRE-HALF TROY BROWN signed for Exeter City in the summer of 2015 following previous club Cheltenham Town's relegation from the Football League.
Brown was in the Fulham youth system between the ages of seven and eighteen, before eventually breaking through at Ipswich Town under one of football's fiercest characters in Roy Keane. The highly-rated defender spent two years at Whaddon Road before joining the Grecians, and that followed time at both Rotherham United and Aldershot Town.
Troy was given the number 39 shirt upon his arrival at Exeter City, which was the first number that he was given as a pro with Ipswich, and the number in which he made his professional debut - against Exeter City in a Carling Cup game at St James Park.
Brown has nine Wales Under-21 caps to his name, all from a period when he played alongside the likes of Aaron Ramsey, Jonny Williams, former Grecian Jake Taylor, and two now-Premier League defenders in Paul Dummett and Adam Matthews.
He scored his first Exeter City goal as the winner in the 2-1 success at Dagenham & Redbridge
in August, and was a first-choice centre-back for the majority of the season. He was one of the leading contenders for the Fans' Player of the Season award, though that eventually went to Lee Holmes
