Who are the Senior Reds?
The Senior Reds are an Exeter City supporters' group, launched in January 2012 by Steve Perryman MBE. The group has City legends Alan Banks and Jimmy Giles as patrons, and is aimed at either Seniors, or supporters who have been long-time fans of the Grecians. There are currently over 60 members.
The group holds monthly meetings with guest speakers (recently legendary Grecians Sean Devine, Shaun Taylor and Peter Hatch) the occasional quiz, sports afternoons (skittles mainly) and work parties in St James Road and at St James Park rail station, working alongside local residents and students.
The group also watches a first-team training session at the Cliff Hill training ground each season.
How much does it cost to join?
You can join the Senior Reds for as little as £5 a year if you are a member of the Trust, a season ticket holder, regular volunteer or any other recognised Grecian or local community group. Otherwise the membership fee is £10.
What is my fee spent on?
This year the Senior Reds funds have been spent on sponsoring City U16 Academy midfielder Jordan Dyer. The group has also donated two signed footballs to the Junior Grecians group to be used as prizes. One of the groups aims is to be an 'older generation helping support the younger generation'.
