David Lee appointed as director

13 December 2013

The Board of Directors and the Trust Board are pleased to announce the appointment of David Lee as a Director of the Club.

This recommendation was made at the meeting of Club Board Appointments Committee meeting on 20th November and was ratified by the Club Board after the acceptance of David by the Football League as a ‘fit and proper person’ to be a director of a Football League Club.

The Club Board Appointments Committee is a joint committee of both the Club Board and the Trust Board with equal membership from both bodies.

David brings a range of skills, knowledge, experience and ability unlikely to be available to us without multiple appointments.

He comes with a lifetime of achievement in Senior Management and at Board level in the civil engineering industry, where focussing on pertinent information, analysing cause and effect and positive decision making are essential to the wellbeing of the business.  In a money and cash flow conscious industry this sound financial management is the key to the success of the enterprise.

His CV pays testament to his achievements during his illustrious career and he is now offering these skills and experience to Exeter City AFC.

David’s experience and track record of financial management in a commercial environment will add to the collective knowledge of the Board and reinforce and support the whole of the finance operation of the Club.

He is experienced and successful in interacting and negotiating with the commercial, political and organisational leaders in many walks of life and will bring routes and contacts that will continue the development of the Club & Business within the wider business and social community.

David’s technical knowledge and understanding of contracts and contracting will be of immense value in the management of physical estate.
