📝 VACANCY | Company Secretary

Exeter City AFC Limited is seeking to recruit an experienced Company Secretary on a part-time basis.

As Company Secretary the successful candidate shall uphold the vision and values of the Company and promote, sustain, and achieve governance in the Company and undertake the administration of formal legal compliance as determined by the Companies Act and the Articles of Association.

The Company Secretary has a duty to guide and advise the Board on all governance matters and through good governance support the Board to function effectively in accordance with the Articles of Association, Governance Manual and Club Trust Agreement.

We are looking for an individual with experience of providing secretarial and administration support at board or senior management level and of advising a Board of Directors on matters of governance, compliance, and best practice.

The successful candidate will need to have excellent organisation and time management skills with experience of setting and meeting deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential and an ability to communicate confidently and effectively at all levels both with internal and external stakeholders.

This role will be a minimum of 2 days per month but there is also a need for flexibility surrounding additional hours which may be needed to complete the relevant duties.

There will be a need to attend St James Park on a monthly basis for board meetings and any other meetings deemed relevant to the role, however there is the ability to work remotely for all other administration duties.

A competitive salary is available and will be discussed at interview.
