We are currently recruiting a First Team Strength and Conditioning Coach to join us as an integral part of the team on a full-time, permanent basis at our Cliff Hill Training Ground facility.
Following our recent promotion to league one this is a great opportunity for a S&C Coach with recent and relevant professional experience within elite sport to join the team as we head into the start of a new season.
Candidates will need to have experience in the design, implementation and monitoring of programmes for professional athletes at elite level as within this role you will be responsible for assisting in the implementation of an athletic development programme and help develop the delivery of the sport science model providing support to Physiotherapists in the rehabilitation of players with long-term injuries.
Knowledge and application of GPS Systems within football (e.g., Catapult) is essential as the S&C Coach will be assisting in the rehabilitation and conditioning of players with long-term injuries and collecting and reporting on the monitoring of training load through GPS, HR, Wellbeing and performance and fatigue testing.
Other duties will include planning and delivering on-pitch athletic development sessions to professional players. Providing pre and post-training strength and conditioning programmes to all professional players and assist withdevelopment of youth players transitioning through to the first team.
Candidates will need to have a positive and productive work ethic and ideally have experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Excellent communication skills are essential and an ability to build professional working relationships as within this role you will assist in the development of relationships to the University and the undertaking of internships.
Candidates will need to have a degree in the field of Sports Science and/or Strength and Conditioning (MSc preferred) and be accredited with the UKSCA (or ability to achieve within 6 months). As part of this role, you will need to ensure all administrative tasks associated with this role are completed efficiently and therefore excellent IT skills to include the use of Google Drive, Excel, Word and PowerPoint would be beneficial.
