An opportunity has arisen to join our supporter owned football club as Lead Academy Physiotherapist on a full time, permanent basis.
Candidates applying for this role will need to have a degree in physiotherapy, HCPC registration, Chartered Physiotherapist status and FA Advanced Trauma Medical Management in Football (ATMMiF).
As Lead Academy Physiotherapist the successful candidate will work with the players (age group ranging between 8 - 21 years but primarily centred with the PDP) to support the design and implementation of activities to maximise the health, athletic performance & well-being of all academy players.
Other responsibilities include delivering pitch-side emergency aid and appropriate training of casual medical staff to ensure a safe environment for players. Providing a timely and accurate diagnosis, treatment plan and anticipated return to play timeframe following an injury and ensuring an evidence-based approach is used to rehabilitation and return to play following musculoskeletal injury.
As Lead Academy Physiotherapist you will need to work effectively and efficiently and be capable of communicating at all levels. A committed individual with a multi-disciplinary and innovative approach to drive the department forward and work collaboratively with other departments is key.
Candidates will need to have excellent organisation, administration and IT skills to ensure all necessary quality standards & requirements are met within the department specifically maintaining records for ISO/EPPP purposes.
As Lead Academy Physiotherapist the successful candidate will need to be persistent, patient and competent in planning, leading, delivering and assessing, however candidates will also need be able to receive instruction and follow guidance.
Experience of working in an elite sporting environment is not essential but would be beneficial. Successful applicants must adhere to our Code of Conduct and uphold and demonstrate the values, standards and behaviours expected by the Company.
