📝 Volunteer Opportunity: Matchday Experience

23 February 2024

We are recruiting individuals with a passion for creating memorable events and experiences for young people to join our matchday team supporting our on-pitch and Fan Zone activities on a voluntary basis.

This is a great opportunity to join our League One family friendly club where we proudly celebrate 20 years Supporters' Trust ownership and put community engagement at the core of our operations and proudly have a special place in the heart of the community.

This role will support our thriving younger supporters which we proudly call our Junior Grecians and play an integral role in creating memorable events and experiences in a manner consistent with the family friendly ethos of the Club.

As part of the Junior Grecians team, you will work with our Supporter Experience Officer and the other members of the Junior Grecians team in delivering our matchday activities for our younger supporters ensuring they have a fun filled day with unforgettable memories.

Matchday duties will include set up of the Junior Grecian Zone including room set up, birthday party set up, set up of games and equipment. Supervising of activities including player autograph opportunities, half time shot outs and team photos on the pitch and distribution of food and refreshments and issuing of any Club merchandise as part of the package.

Candidates will need to have excellent communication skills and must be able to work effectively as part of a team.  Experience in events, hospitality, education or the delivery of children’s activities would be beneficial but is not essential.

Hours will primarily be Saturdays and Tuesday evenings and therefore this seasonal role may fit around an existing job or be a great opportunity if you are studying locally as our central location and matchday work pattern may fit around studies.

Prior to commencing work a right to work document(s) must be presented and references and a DBS Check will need to be undertaken.
