💬 "I'm very excited to be here and can't wait for Saturday!" - Luke Harris on signing for City

Youngster's first interview following Fulham loan move

City's first January signing, Luke Harris has given his first interview following his loan move from Premier League outfit Fulham.

The 18-year-old Jersey born midfielder goes straight into the squad for Saturday's game against Carlisle and is raring to go in red and white.

"It feels amazing and I'm really happy to be here," Luke said.

"I am really looking forward to Saturday and seeing all the fans at SJP. It was meant to happen in August but it fell through for me, so I'm buzzing to be here now."

Harris has had plenty of senior experience with the London side, despite his age, including playing against Manchester City in September, as well playing through the age groups as Wales to the senior squad in late 2023.

"That was a great experience but a tough day," Harris said of his game at the Etihad.

"Those experiences have been really beneficial to me and there will hopefully be many more to come. I was really keen to come here because Exeter have been interested since the summer, so I want to repay the faith they have had in me since then.

"The manager wants me to come in and express myself and be a part of the team and just give everything. I have had to opportunity to speak to Jay Stansfield and he has told me what a great club it is to play for and a great place to live.

"It feels like an opportunity for me given the great opportunity this club gives to young players."

Gary Caldwell will give his reaction to Luke's signing as part of his pre-match press conference on Thursday.
