Ethan's story:

Ethan became the club’s youngest ever player to make a competitive first team appearance when he played for the Grecians against Brentford in the EFL Cup on Tuesday, August 9, 2016.

He was aged 15, 10 months and 26 days and that broke a club record held by the legendary Cliff Bastin for 83 years.

Despite not even being 16, Ethan put in a tremendous display at centre-half to win the man-of-the-match award as City picked up a clean sheet in a 1-0 victory over their Championship opponents.

Ethan, who moved to Chelsea in the summer of 2017, continued to impress in the first team during the 2016/17 season, coming close to being the youngest player to score in the FA Cup when he rattled the inside of the post in a 3-1 defeat to Luton Town. The youngster went on to make 13 first-team appearances in his breakthrough campaign.

After leaving City, Ethan has continued to develop rapidly, forcing himself into contention with Chelsea's first team as well as being a regular member of Ryan Giggs' Wales side. He made seven first team appearances under Antonio Conte in the 2017/18 campaign and has continued to impress many with his maturity, as well as his ability. Ethan is the son of former City player Kwame Ampadu.
