Nicky Ajose joined Exeter City in the summer of 2019, having been released by Charlton Athletic.

Nicky started his career as a youngster at Manchester United and was capped by England four times at under-16 level and once at the under-17 age group. 

He made his Football League debut playing on loan for his home town club of Bury, where he netted 13 goals in 28 appearances. A permanent move to Peterborough followed, where he appeared for the Posh in the Championship and League One before signing for Leeds United in 2014.

He failed to break into the first team at Elland Road, making just four appearances, before switching to join Swindon Town. He netted 25 goals in 40 appearances for the Robins in League One before joining Charlton Athletic at the start of the 2016/17 campaign.

Nicky scored his first goal for the Grecians in a Trophy victory over Cheltenham. In total he netted a five goals in 16 appearances for the Grecians last campaign.
