Jake is in his second spell at St James Park having joined Exeter City on a permanent basis on January 25, 2016.

Jake played an incredible 51 games for the Grecians last season as they reached League Two play-off final.

Most of those appearances came in central midfield, but Jake also filled in on the right wing, in a No. 10 role and at right back.

His versatility earned him praise from manager Paul Tisdale at the end of season awards where he was named the players' player of the year.

The twice-capped Welsh international returned to the Grecians after a previous loan spell that lasted for the majority of the 2011/12 campaign.

He joined Reading at the age of eight and made 31 appearances for the Royals having graduated from their academy.

Jake scored his first goal since returning to the club when he netted in a 4-1 win at Notts County. He netted five goals last season including two spectacular long-range strikes against Hull City, in the EFL Cup, and Barnet.
